Job description
In this role, you deliver structured dining service as part of a story-driven guest experience.
As a Waitering Elf at Santa Claus Secret Forest – Joulukka, you are part of the storytelling, while also ensuring that our dining experiences run smoothly, warmly, and professionally. You bring structure to magical moments.
Your main focus is supporting and delivering:
Buffet-style dinner services
Private à la carte dinners in traditional Lappish kota settings
Beverage service and gentle upselling as part of the guest experience
Participating in other Joulukka programs as an magical character, guiding and interacting with guests without food and beverage responsibilities
You help create a seamless flow for dinner programs, ensuring guests feel cared for without breaking the story. The role requires the ability to work under pressure with a composed and supportive approach, helping others contributing to a smooth, well-coordinated dining experience.
Not all shifts include food and beverage responsibilities, and this role requires openness to contribute across different parts of the experience.
As part of the wider team, you move naturally between roles in Joulukka. Whether working in dining service or interacting with guests in other program elements, your work supports the overall story and atmosphere and helps ensure a smooth and consistent guest journey.
General requirements
Previous experience in waitressing or restaurant service (basic experience is sufficient)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Natural interaction skills with guests of all ages
Confidence in performing and storytelling
Imagination and situational awareness
Strong sense of responsibility and initiative
Willingness to learn and develop
Fluent spoken English
Considered an advantage
Experience in buffet and/or à la carte service
Interest or experience in beverage service and sales
Additional languages, especially Spanish
Commit to working throughout the entire magical season.
Additional skills are highly valued, for example:
face painting, balloon art, singing, playing an instrument, dancing, acting...Hold a driving license and have experience driving in snowy, icy conditions
Brave the Arctic, able to work outdoors for extended periods in winter conditions.
Manage time well and approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
